About Matt & Hawley Schneider
We are disciple-makers with two main areas of focus: Our local ministry is to reach the people of Springfield, Massachusetts and New England—the city and region of our country with “the least access to the gospel of Jesus Christ”. We are also trainers who will help anyone anywhere to multiply disciples by confidently sharing their faith with the people they love through simple principles and practices.
We are part of the team at Biglife, an international disciple-making ministry headquartered in Florida and operating in 120 countries. Biglife empowers believers worldwide to reach and disciple their own people for Jesus, so that disciple-making movements of God can grow and grow all over the world. In New England, we do the very same things our team members do globally. Beyond New England, Matt also serves as a trainer and mobilizer for missions throughout North America and around the world. He is a coach for Zúme Training, and he collaborates with leaders from multiple global missions coalitions and organizations in order to see people from every nation come to God as worshipers of Jesus Christ.
Matt is originally from the West Coast, and Hawley is from the East Coast. We met while studying abroad in France. Matt was an atheist at the time, but Hawley was instrumental in him eventually coming to faith. We were friends for seven years before Matt accepted Jesus. Soon after this we were married and went into ministry together. Our heart’s desire is to see more people around the world abandon their lives to follow Jesus Christ. We would like to equip you to help you share your faith with the people you love.
Please be in touch with us, tell us about yourself, your interest in making disciples, and how we might help you.
Multiplying Like Rabbits
We chose a rabbit for our logo because the emphasis of our approach to ministry is multiplication. Most disciple-making ministries unknowingly use addition to add people to the Kingdom and to cultivate leadership. Typically, in models of addition a lot of ministry depends on very few skilled people who do the bulk of the evangelism and discipleship. The result is a slower reproduction cycle like that of elephants. With multiplication on the other hand, every single disciple is equipped and understands themselves as disciple-makers. This way more people share their faith, invest in others, and start groups. The result is much faster reproduction like rabbits, reaching more people more quickly—in your family, your city, and around the world.
